‘The Baffled King’
I drew a friends photo of a King Fisher because it fascinated me with a strange sensation. The original looked like a painting of extremely high quality, but i was told it was a photo. This intuitive feeling was me beginning to follow my instincts as an internal guide, in some magical and mysterious way.
Whilst drawing I was reading Perceval and the first Grail story of the Fisher King while simultaneously listening to Hallelujah’s lyrics of the ‘Baffled King’. A lot of new information came flowing into me leading me to a Gnosis with the Cosmos. I felt as though I’d been lifted out of the darkness by some great force, leaving my whole world behind me, just like the fish in the picture.
Percival and the Fisher King
The original tale of Percival is of a naive boy who wants to be a knight. Soaked with themes of knowledge, truth and beauty, I coincidentally held this in my hand while watching Neverending Story.
In Percival, the Fisher King is wounded and his lands are also dying. In Neverending Story, , leaving him in depression. The Childlike Empress is dying along with her fantastic lands. Bastions depression over his mother dying is manifested as the Nothing, something which I’ve seen myself lead to suicide.
We MUST acknowledge the process of rebirth and renewal. Pierce the Veil.
Harmony
During this period I came across this video which showed me there was a Sacred Chord after all. Other peoples ideas may help you to confirm your own philosophies, but this information should let you see why there’s a sacred chord in the song Hallelujah.
To represent this, I hid a Hz symbol within the branch of the original picture (clipped here), along with Keplars Mysterium Cosmographicum hidden with nested geometry.
AZOTH
Frustrated on the lack of clarity available on older sources, I decided to recreate it from the clearest drawing I could find.
The awakening process feels like you enter a reality which is all about you, you become a star on the cosmic stage. Although the AZOTH is about what happens during the process, the Monomyth cycle details what it feels like. The Monomyth is a repeating motif called the Heroes Journey brought to recognition by Joseph Campbell in the Hero with a Thousand Faces. I’d implore you to study the Azoth and the Monomyth as two wheels of the same bicycle.
This psychological rebirth cycle is the end of the old and beginning the new. This ancient story is played out by the archetypes within you. This transformation of self is the Underworld spoken of as the Duat in Egypt.
Central Azoth
According to Wiki, the Caduceus is a symbol of the Azoth of the Philosophers. Here I’ve shown the Yin-Yang as the seed and the blue Djed Pillar or Spine of Osiris as the World Tree. The two keys are the Gold and Silver of Alchemy, the Sulfur and Mercury. The Light is the selective wisdom, and the Dark is the chaotic shearing of that light. These two symbols are key to understanding.
The male is the selective lightning of Thor and Zeus, and the Tornado or Whirlpool is the Abyss. This is the interplay of Order and Chaos. The Rocks of Scylla and Waters of Charybdis are the original “Rock and a Hard Place”.
This is a psychological quest to go between opposites. To harness our creativity without falling into madness. The dangers are as great as the prize.
